For Your Light Has Come: Welcoming Year 5787 at the Sacred Convergence of Shabbat and the New Dawn

Isaiah 60:1 • Year 5787 • The Seventh Day Divine Rest & Consecration
New Year 5787 • Prophetic Horizon & Sanctuary Life
Annual Mandate (Isaiah 60:1): “Arise, shine; for your light has come! And the glory of the Lord is risen upon you.” • Embracing the 7th Day Sabbath Rest & Absolute Consecration in Year 5787

Manhattan Cornerstone Presbyterian Church gathered for an unforgettable and sacred New Year’s Eve Convocation as the holy Shabbat began, marking the entrance into the biblical prophetic year 5787. The recurring number seven signifies the mystery of God’s completed creation: the seventh day when God rested, bringing His people into absolute consecration and ceasing from worldly striving.

1. The Sabbath Mystery (5787 & Consecration): Just as the Lord sanctified the seventh day, this year calls the Church into deep spiritual rest and consecrated separation from the secular anxieties of modern Manhattan.

2. The Mandate of Isaiah 60:1: “Arise, shine; for your light has come!” We stand not in human pride, but anchored in the radiant rising of the glory of the Lord, witnessing genuine miracles, charismatic power, and unshakeable Reformed truth.

Sacred transcendence and visual contemplation: Fine art and classical chamber performance at Manhattan Cornerstone Presbyterian Church, SoHo.
Sacred transcendence and visual contemplation: Fine art and classical chamber performance at Manhattan Cornerstone Presbyterian Church, SoHo.

We do not treat the Bible as mere ancient literature. In a city saturated with intellectual skepticism and secular noise, Manhattan Cornerstone Presbyterian Church stands as a living sanctuary of genuine faith, real encounters with God, and fervent prayer in SoHo.

Here, Reformed biblical truth is not dry theory. The cross of Christ is our heartbeat. Through visual fine art, sacred choral composition, and contemplative piano worship led by Rev. Joseph Pang and Juri Pang, our historic 19th-century sanctuary opens its doors as an altar of reverent worship, spiritual healing, and consecrated creativity for all who hunger for God.

No pretension. No corporate religion. Just the unsearchable riches of Christ, soaking prayer, and an authentic community anchored in the power of the Holy Spirit.
